Gas Pains

Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.

Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.

Gas Pains Talks With The Candidates For The Fifth Senate Seat

Hunt'n, Representative Vukmir, Senator Sullivan

For a spell it was looking like this wasn't going to happen.

I have been here, there and everywhere on the road lately.  Oh man...on the road can be tiresome.

Yet between my schedule and their busy schedules I was finally able to sit down with both Wisconsin State Representative Leah Vukmir and State Senator Jim Sullivan and have a chat.

Folks - I have to tell you that this was better than talking with the candidates for Governor last April.

The term - all politics is local - is what politics is all about.  There is something to be said for a local race featuring a pair of candidates who are passionate about their positions and eager to govern.

Each in their own style.

This weekend I expect to put pen to paper fingers to keyboard and pound-out possibly four posts detailing the positions of Jim Sullivan and Leah Vukmir - on four questions that I posed of them.

So be sure to check-in.

And thank you, in advance, for reading and joining-in a stimulating discussion.

All of that aside - Girlfriend wants you to know that the personal prioities of everyone in her life are perfectly aligned.

And the first order of business today is not local politics.

It is fall hunting!

By the time most of you are reading this - Girlfriend and I will be off chasing pheasants with Lawyer and Braumeister.

We'll check-in with you on the flip side...
