Gas Pains

Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.

Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.

Random Musings and Idle Chit Chat

Critters, Governor Walker

Last Sunday after I heard about the ruckus at the Mayfair Mall I thought maybe I should blog about it.

My pal Karen did instead.  The upside of this is now I can comment all I want over there on her blog.  After she did all the heavy lifting.  Thank you Karen.

Then I got to thinking maybe I might blog about the new Governor.

My pal Christine did instead.  And I get to comment all I want over there on her blog.  After she did all of the heavy lifting.  Thank you Christine.

That Christine did provide me with some inspiration.  And I am still in a gift-giving mood.

Since the Governor complains that he never sees any deer.  And since now that he's governor he probably won't get to spend countless weekends and vacation time deer hunting like he and I are accustomed to doing.

I have a gift.

Some deer pictures.  They're fresh too.

Between Christmas and the start of the new year the trusty trail camera captured forty-six deer images.  Mind you - many were multiple images of the same deer.  Most of them were does and fawns - but here's a buck that has come around to check-out what had previously been an active scrape.

And this little fella that still comes around after dark to give it a sniff...

Girlfriend and I moved the camera to some heavy cover almost a half-mile distant.  I'd like to capture an image of something different.  Coyote, fox, racoon, porcupine.  Maybe a wolf!
