The first dagger was B.J. Raji's interception for a fourth quarter touchdown.
Then the Bears' Lance Briggs intercepts a ball that ricochets off of the foot of Donald Driver. The Bears have the momentum with minutes left to play.
I'm thinking - This is the way it's going to turn out. The dang Bears are going to tie the game and the Pack will lose in overtime. The Bears lead a charmed life and we'll never hear the end of it.
Anybody else as nervous as we were? Come on - admit it.
Then Sam Shields intercepts the Bears and it's all over. The double dagger!
And not a moment too soon.
The sixth-seeded Packers are going to the Super Bowl. Road warriors.
All the stops were pulled-out in last week in an effort to keep the good Ju Ju flowing. Talismans were unpacked. Packer Mardi Gras beads were hung from the Packer Tree. I wore my Packer jacket all week long to the day job. My 1995 Packer shirt was brought out of retirement and worn today. Jill donned her LeRoy Butler jersey. Brother-In-Law had left the hats and ball in the same place following last week's victory
Even Saint Vince was gazing-upon us with approval,
And Sister-In-Law's G-Force apple-cranberry victory pie was enjoyed by all.
The Packer tree will remain on the porch until the Lombardi Trophy is returned to its rightful home in Titletown, USA.
