Recipe of the Day - Bucky Balls

Bucky Balls, Deer Camp, Friends, Gourmands, Hunting, Terrific Cooking

Looking for a tasty game day or cocktail hour treat?

Make yourself some Bucky Balls.

My pal Smokey Joe prepared these at deer camp just the other day.

Begin with some thinly sliced venison strips.  You might even wish to pound them thin.

Add a dab of cream cheese and some sliced banana peppers and roll-it-up.  Wind a strip of thick-sliced bacon around and skewer it to hold it all together.

Grill on your Weber until the bacon is crispy and the venison is medium-rare to medium.

Serve hot.

They got scarfed so quickly I never got a picture of the finished product.

Substitute jalapeño slices if you like some extra heat.
