Gas Pains

Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.

Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.

Birds of a Feather

House Finch, Life In Tosa

Do you remember the post from a couple of weeks ago about the bird nest in one of the hanging baskets on my front porch?

It's been abandoned. Dang.

I speculated about what happened.  Did a predator grab mama?  Was it decided to move to another location?  Who knows.

The good news is that there's another nest in the other basket.  Woo Hoo!

Nature perseveres.

Mama house finch has been setting on her clutch of tiny eggs leaving them only when I fetch the paper or the mail.  To give her some peace of mind I've moved my porch sitting to the opposite end of the house.

Fingers crossed for a successful brood.
