What About Your Polling Day Experience?

Elections, Maxie's Southern Comfort, Shaky Forecasting

While out walking the girls I noticed that there wasn't a line at my local polling place.  So after crating the dogs I walked over to the polls for lunch.

Yes.  Lunch.

I don't know about your polling place but Jefferson Elementary puts on a pretty nice spread for election day.  Maxie's Southern Comfort donated their signature pulled pork and jambalaya for a fifth grade fundraiser.  There was a bake sale too.

After waiting a couple of minutes for a paper jam in the ballot machine to be unjammed...

Voter #563 had himself some pulled pork on a crusty roll with a side of jambalaya.

Yum!

I have to say that exercising your civic responsibility by voting and enjoying the generosity of good neighbors like the folks at Maxie's and the volunteers at Jefferson School is heartwarming.

And there's nothing better to chase the blues of a dreary, drizzly day away like some Cajun cook'n.

How'd your polling experience go?

Here's my prediction for the outcome of today's election...
