Gas Pains

Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.

Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.

Gas Pains, Personal

I am the newest addition to Community Voices. I’m here because a number of you over at the Tosa Town Square talked me into this.

In all fairness I didn’t put up any kind of a fight; however, I did take some time to think about it. The blogosphere is hardly new to me as I’ve been posting on the TTS since last winter and for as many years as I can remember on a number of outdoors and hunting boards.

However, having my very own personal soap box is new to me. I’m going to give this a try; but if it becomes too much like work I’ve promised Jeanne and Meg that I’ll hang it-up.

A brief couple of words about the title of my blog: Gas Pains

For those of you who are denizens of the TTS you can put two and two together. I entertained a passing fancy about titling my blog Passing Gas but dismissed that idea out of deference to the delicate sensibilities of Wauwatosa’s local Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. It is better that I not unnecessarily provoke them as they are such busy bodies.
I’m going to make an effort to keep this interesting and entertaining while occasionally challenging you with some personal opinions. I’ll also try really hard not to take myself too seriously. From time-to-time I might even share some photographs - for sure, if I bag the infamous thirty-point buck this year.

Very soon you’ll be able to post comments about anything I have to say. I encourage you to share your views and keep the discussion going.
