Gas Pains

Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.

Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.

On The Road Again - Final Post

Life Is Good

I've seen an endless succession of sunrises in my life.

And the good ones are pretty impressive.

This was an excellent road trip as far as road trips go.

There were no major problems.

I became acquainted with new friends and I did a bunch of things that I never did before.

I learned about crabbing and how to conduct a proper crawdad boil.   I even drank a shot or two of something from an old fruit jar.

I caught and released my first sting ray.

A word of advice - handle with care.

Anyway, it's family that draws you close and family that draws you back.  I spent a great deal of quality time with my daughter and her family.

So we'll be back.

Mostly for the family - but also for the spectacular barrier island sunsets too.

Good night from Grand Isle.
