If you are traveling west-bound on I-90 toward South Dakota - if you take a right turn at Sioux Falls and head north to Brookings at about the 540 mile mark your stomach will probably begin to growl.

Give in to the call and stop at Nick's in Brookings for burgers.

They're conveniently located on the main drag in downtown.

Last year TosaGuy turned me on to Nick's and it has become a regular stop for the hunting crew.

Since 1929 Nick's has been cooking their unique Tank Fry Method hamburgers.

 

I recommend a couple of singles with cheese, pickles, mustard and ketchup.

They have a way of sticking with you for the balance of the afternoon...
