Spring Has Sprung

Evidence of that fact is was the appearance of the first Red-winged Blackbird a few days ago.

This morning I spied a couple of these fellas...

The Eastern Meadowlark is so named because it is a bird of the open grassland.  Similar to the larks found in Europe this bird is more closely related to the blackbird  family.  It possesses a flute-like song and a clear whistle.

I have a bad case of the spring fever.

But I am not putting-away the snowblower just yet.

Here's another sure sign of spring.   Returning to Tosa today - mile, upon mile upon endless mile of orange construction barrels on I-43...
