Tom grew up in Milwaukee, bartended in Wauwatosa in the '70s and moved here in 1984.
Commentary, observations and musings about the outdoors, life in general and maybe Tosa politics and personalities will be the order of the day. He savors a lively debate as much as terrific cooking.
My pal Lawyer snapped this picture in Italy.
He is curious as to what he might have captured on the camera.
Here is what he says in terms of background...
I'd like to have a little game of "name the critter", like Tom does on his blog. It might be asking a lot, but I'm hoping to be somewhat serious about this, since I'm not really sure what I have here.
I took these photos on a hilly mountainside in Manorola, Cinque Terre, Italy.
The photos were taken from, to my best guess, about 150 yards away (could have been more or less). I took them on my Cannon Power Shot digital camera on a 5.0 x zoom. Those are grape vines.
I'll tell you what the locals said after I get some feedback.
I trust this to my readers to identify the animal.
