Bug Day at Wehr Nature Center

The 5th annual Bug Day will take place at Wehr Nature Center, 9701 W. College Avenue in Franklin on Sunday, September 19th from 1pm to 4pm. 

           A listing of events and attractions at this creepy-crawly day follow:

Jumping Contest – Enter a grasshopper in the Jump-off or

                                   borrow one of Wehr’s hoppers.

Creepy Crawly Cuisine – Enjoy some tasty bugs treats for sampling

Bee Keeping – Meet the Keeper of the Colonies

Insect Zoo – View beetles, walking sticks and hissing cockroaches

Larva Land Area – Explore and learn about arthropods

Dr. Artha Poda, Insects 101 – Children ages 6 and up learn from an expert

Dipping for Critters – Discover the insects living in Mallard Lake
