WHS Adoptable Animals

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness. For more than 128 years, WHS has been saving the lives of animals in need. We offer adoption services that place 9,000 animals in new homes annually, veterinary services that save thousands of lives, educational programs that instill respect for animals, behavior services to assist guardians and a myriad of other initiatives that help end suffering for animals. We depend entirely on private donations to fund our programs and rely on volunteers in nearly every department. If you are interested in adopting, volunteering, enrolling in a class, taking a tour or making a donation, check out our comprehensive web site at wihumane.org. The adoptable animals' web pages are updated every 30 minutes!

Join Patricia McConnell in an informative and entertaining overview of the behavior of our other best friends! Cats may be mysterious, but much of their behavior makes sense once you understand their evolutionary background and the ecology of their closest living relatives.  We'll explore who cats are, where they came from, and how to send them memo's (in cat-speak, of course) with requests for behavioral improvements!

Books and merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. Dr. McConnell will be available for book signing during intermission and at the end of the seminar.

There is a $35.00 fee for this event for limited preferred seating or $25.00 for general seating. This event will be held at The Radisson Hotel, 2303 N. Mayfair Rd. in Milwaukee.

*No paper tickets will be mailed. Check-in at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.

Date:
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
