Plenty of action in the next few days between volleyball and soccer

Hold on to your hat, because there is plenty to watch on the high school scene and it some cases there is no tomorrow.

BOYS VOLEYBALL

Wauwatosa East travels to Marquette Wednesday to face the Hilltoppers in a battle for the Greater Metro lead. East beat MUHS two weeks ago for the Whitefish Bay Invitation Crown, but the Hilltoppers had beaten them in two earlier meetings.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

There is no tomorrow for the local lady spikers as it's tournament time. Tosa West got a forfeit and will take Thursday off and host the winner of the South Milwaukee - Bay View game on Saturday night. The Trojans just won the Woodland Conference Tournament and are ready to go.

Brookfield Central has a bye, but Brookfield East hosts Franklin at 7 p.m. Thursday. Tosa East hosts Milwaukee Juneau/Custer/Samuel at the same time. The winners play on Saturday, times and sites to be determined.

BOYS SOCCER

Mark your calender for 1 p.m. Saturday at Arrowhead. If the favorites win Thursday night - top ranked Brook East over Cedarburg and second-seed Brook Central over third-seed Germantown - the Lancers and Spartans will meet for the chance to go to the state tournament.

See ya arond town.
