Wauwatosa's most senior alderman, Thomas Herzog, has resigned. He has represented the 6th District for a decade.
"I have enjoyed representing the 6th District for the last 10 plus years and will miss the many friends I have made along the way," he wrote in his letter of resignation.
About two years of his term remain.
