Schlitz Park lands suburban technology firm
A suburban company that provides technology to the financial services industry has signed a lease for 18,000 square feet of space at downtown Milwaukee's Schlitz Park.
The firm, which wasn't named in the Wednesday announcement from Schlitz Park developer Gary Grunau, plans to move 50 employees to the first floor of Schlitz Park’s Bottlehouse A building. That move will occur June 1.
Commercial real estate industry sources said the tenant is Indianapolis-based Streetlinks Lender Solutions, which operates its Milwaukee-area office at 2365 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa. Streetlinks provides housing valuation services and technologies to mortgage lenders.
A Streetlinks executive didn't respond immediately to a request for comment.
This is the first new tenant announced for Schlitz Park since renovations started in December at the business park’s two Bottlehouse buildings, at 1610 N. 2nd St. and 101 W. Pleasant St.
That work involves combining the two structures into a single building, and upgrading 90,000 square feet of available office space.
The project will include 8,000 square feet of new common space, named The Link, between the two buildings. That space will include meeting areas and a fitness center.
Also, renovations at Schlitz Park's RiverCenter building, 1515-1575 N. River Center Drive, started last week. AECOM Technology Corp. last month announced it is leasing 21,000 square feet at RiverCenter, and will move there July 1 from 1020 N. Broadway and 11425 W. Lake Park Drive.
The overall Schlitz Park project includes remodeling 350,000 square feet of office space and common areas. The 46-acre office park also is adding fitness and conference centers, along with more green space and walking trails.
RFP Commercial Inc. broker Jim Cavanaugh, representing Schlitz Park, negotiated the latest Bottlehouse lease.
