Walker, Kleefisch win Tosa's votes

June 6, 2012

Nearly 82 percent of the city's registered voters turned out at the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in the recall election.

Gov. Scott Walker received the majority of votes in Wauwatosa with 54 percent, while competitor Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett brought in 46 percent, according to unofficial election results provided by the city clerk's office.

Results remain unofficial until certified by a board of canvassers.

The race for lieutenant government came in at 53 percent for incumbent Rebecca Kleefisch and 47 percent for challenger Mahlon Mitchell.

The results in Tosa mirrored those statewide, with both incumbents retaining their seats.
