A Wauwatosa officer pulled over the driver of a car making a scraping, thumping noise coming from a blown tire, driving down in the 1900 block of Swan Boulevard at 25 MPH.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

The man was slurring his speech, his eyes glazed over, when the officer contacted him at 10:06 p.m. Aug. 3. He was being followed by another driver who was honking his horn in an attempt to let him know the vehicle's tire rim was digging into the pavement.

The following vehicle's driver told officers the man had lost control of his car in a turn, smashing into a curb. The curb popped his tire and damaged his wheel well.

The driver failed all his sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.18. He was arrested for drunken driving, second offense.
