Aug. 19, 2013

Two boys were arrested for taking bicycles after they returned to the 6200 block of West North Avenue to take more bicycles between 3:30 and 8:40 p.m. Aug. 9.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

The two were arrested for looking in windows and acting suspicious. Since police had a call of two bicycles stolen from the same area at the same time, they asked the boys about the bicycles.

They both admitted to taking the bicycles after they saw them hanging in a window of a garage. One of the boys said the feeling of getting away with taking the bicycles was the best part.

The two said they rode the bicycles a few blocks to Fast Track Oil Change, 6207 W. North Ave., where they sold them to a man for $25. The man was suspicious because they bicycles were worth a total of $900. Police called him later and he agreed to return the bicycles.

The boy's names, ages and communities were redacted from the report.
