Many businesses in the Horizon Building, 10721 W. Capitol Drive, had their doors broken in, air vents pushed in and items taken from them between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 14 and 7:35 p.m. Aug. 15.
According to the Wauwatosa police report:
Nearly every office in the building either had a door smashed in or vent kicked in. Items were taken from businesses as well, including two laptop computers and a carrying case stolen from Alliance Tax Resolution Services, amounting to a total loss of $1,090.
Most of the doors were opened with what appeared to be tools, including a hammer used to smash a window.
Many business owners believe the break-ins were made by people tied to a clinic in the building.
