The Nordstrom department store under construction at Mayfair mall in Wauwatosa would include a restaurant called Ruscello and a coffee bar called eBar, according to plans submitted to the city.

Ruscello would be on the north side of the store's first floor, with seats for 127 diners, and would have an adjoining patio seating 44. The coffee bar would be on the second floor.

Similarly, Macy's department store at Mayfair has a Starbucks coffee shop (another Starbucks is on the mall's second floor).

The Nordstrom in Oak Brook, Ill., also has a Ruscello restaurant; its menu includes appetizers, pizzas, soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas, entrees and desserts. Prices there are mid-range; pastas, for example, range from $11.95 (chicken and artichoke with ziti) to $17.25 (linguine with seafood).

Nordstrom wants to serve alcohol at the restaurant. The Mayfair Ruscello would be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, the plans show.

Nordstrom is under construction on the east side, or back, of Mayfair, off of W. North Ave., although the restaurant's address is 2424 N. Mayfair Road. It's expected to open next year.

Planners are to take up the matter at their Sept. 8 meeting.
