New employment opportunities are continuring to make their way to Wauwatosa.
Bartolotta Restaurant Group, and its management arm, Phoenix Hospitality Group, which is responsible for the three new restaurants opening this spring at The Mayfair Collection, announced they will hire more than 200 employees.
A large recruiting effort will take place in April for the upcoming taco restaurant, tavern and French bistro scheduled to open at The Mayfair Collection, a large project that called for repurposing functionally obsolete warehouse buildings into contemporary retail environments.
All three restaurants are still unnamed, according to a news release.
Osgood's, a fast-casual dining experience, was the first of four to open at the shopping center on West Burleigh Street. Itstarted serving customers on November 3.
The three other dining options are scheduled to open by April 2016. They make up a 17,000-square-foot, triple-concept theme, Joe Bartolotta, co-owner of Bartolotta Restaurants, has said.
More than 200 full and part-time employees at all levels and positions are sought to work at the three restaurants.
"At The Bartolotta Restaurants, we are committed to excellence in every aspect of our business, from the products we source to the food and service we deliver every day in our restaurants and catering facilities," said Dustin Farberg, HR business manager and corporate recruiter for the restaurant group. "The greatest asset in our company is our employees because without great employees, we wouldn't be in business."
A string of new businesses have moved into The Mayfair Collection, which is in its second phase of construction, anchored by Whole Foods Market, which opened to the public Feb. 24.
Future phases on The Mayfair Collection project call for an additional 50,000 square feet of ground floor retail as part of a mixed-use component with more than 1,000 luxury residences, which will be constructed by Fiduciary Real Estate Development on land adjacent to The Mayfair Collection. Construction will take place over the next three to five years.
The first 250 residential units are scheduled to break ground in spring 2016.
