25th annual Blarney Run/Walk scheduled for March 12

The 25th annual Blarney Run/Walk is scheduled for this weekend in Wauwatosa.
The event will be held at the Hoyt Park and Pool Grand Hall, 1800 N. Swan Blvd., at 10 a.m. March 12. The course includes a 3.1-mile run or a 2-mile walk.
The 200-yeard "Twinkle Trot" is for ages 10 and under.
The registration fee is $25 by March 11 or $30 on March 12. The first 500 Blarney Run/Walk participants are guaranteed a commemorative long-sleeved T-shirt with an exclusive design.
Over the years, the event has raised more than $300,000 for the programs and missions of the Wauwatosa Historical Society, Alderman Jeff Roznowski said in an email to NOW Newspapers.
Awards for the Blarney Run/Walk will be given to the overall male and female winners, the first three males and females in each age group, and the top wheelchair finisher. Results will be posted and awards will be presented immediately after the race in the Grand Hall at Hoyt Park and Pool.
