Wauwatosa West boys track team finishes 10th at Doug Johnson Invite

The Wauwatosa West boys finished 10th out of 15 teams at the Doug Johnson Invitational on March 23 at West Allis Central.

Freshman Kyleon Parker had the top finish, taking fifth in the 55-meter high hurdles in 9.29 seconds.

Sophomore Joshua Riebe and senior Tray'Vion Davis each finished seventh in the 55 low hurdles (9.95) and the pole vault (8 feet), respectively.

Sophomore Justin Burke was ninth in the pole vault (7-6), and freshman Savon Norrington was ninth in the 200 meters (26.41).

The 4x160 relay took seventh (1:24.80) behind Aaron Johnson-Moorer, Mickey Schaefer, Norrington and Parker.

Taking eighth were two relays: the 4x400 (4:26.92) with Kevon Keaton, Joshua Riebe, Schaefer and Sterling Heit and the 4x800 (11:26.32) with Cole Acker, Joseph Wehrley, Max Herteen and Saul Soriano.

Senior Norberto Pliego was 10th in the shot put (35-8), and freshman Jimmy Fuhrman took 13th in the long jump (16-13/4).

The 4x240 finished 10th (2:23.75) with Jacob White, Jimmy Fuhrman, Keimani Dunson and Jay Porter.

Porter was 17th in the long jump, sophomore Cory Vines was 18th in the shot put and freshman Justin Cruz was 19th in the 1,600 (7:27.70).

Sophomore Chauncy Malone finished 23rd in the 400 wheelchair, and White placed 24th in the 200 (30.04).

Franklin won the event with 127 points, while West Allis Hale (121) and Pewaukee (101) finished right behind them. The Trojans had 22 points to take 10th, right behind Milwaukee King (23).

On March 22 at Whitefish Bay, the Trojans finished fifth with 37 points out of 15 teams.

Christian Jackson took first in the 55-meter hurdles (7.84), and Javaree Jackson won the shot put (50-101/2).

Jovani Jefferson finished third in the pole vault (J12-feet), and the 4x160 relay finished third (1:20.75, no names were available).

Finishing fifth were Hannah-Howell in the long jump (19-111/4) and the 4x800 relay in 9:21.31 (no names available).
