A new farmers market is scheduled to launch this summer at Milwaukee's Enderis Park and it will be managed by a co-founder of the Tosa Farmers Market.

Heather Sullivan, who co-founded the Wauwatosa market in 2009, will manage the new market, set to open June 19 on Milwaukee's west side. The market will feature fresh fruits and vegetables along with locally-crafted foods and beverages. Market hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through September 25.

Enderis Park is situated between Chambers and Locus streets to the north and south, respectively, 72nd Street to the east and 70th Street to the west in the historic Enderis Park neighborhood.

"The Enderis Park Farmers Market will be one of the few markets serving patrons on Sundays in the area and one of the only markets on the city's far-west side," Sullivan said. "We're thrilled to proceed with this project and heartened by the warm reception the market has already received from area residents."

The Enderis Park Farmers Market is currently seeking vendors of locally-grown produce and locally-crafted food and beverages. Space at the market is limited. For more information, interested parties should contact Market Manager Heather Sullivan by email at enderisparkfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

A website for the new farmers market is forthcoming. Follow the market on Facebook by searching "Enderis Park Farmers Market."
