Volunteers needed for annual Menomonee River cleanup at Hart Park

Friends of Hart Park and Milwaukee Riverkeeper will hold their annual spring river cleanup event April 23.

The event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, will help clean up the Menomonee River at Hart Park and remove invasive plants along the river.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Muellner building at Hart Park at 9 a.m. and should enter the parking area at North 70th and West State streets. Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather and to bring their own water bottles. Gloves and bags will be provided.

Friends of Hart Park is a nonprofit organization with a goal to promote the preservation of Hart Park.
