Sun Prairie won the event with 341 points, followed by Homestead (274) and the Trojans (235.25).

"We had a great meet at the Benson," West coach Jack LoPresti said, especially praising Cheri'A Adams. "She won a bunch of stuff: long jump, triple jump and the anchor of the 4x100."

West had six first-place finishes, including two relays.

Adams won the long jump in 16-feet, 41/2 inches and the triple jump (37-51/2). She also anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay won in 49.12 (Azya McLin, Mercy Ndon, Breanna Weigman, Adams).

McLin won the 100-meter run (12.46 seconds), and Weigman took first in the high jump in 5 feet, 2 inches.

The other first-place finish went to the 4x200 relay in 1:48.59 (Kayla Crump, Brianna Horton, Weigman, Brishaun Bailey).

Ndon had the only second-place finish, being runner-up in the 100 meters (12.65).

Crump also was solid, taking third in two events, the 100 hurdles (16.87) and the 300 hurdles (50.37).
