The Wauwatosa East girls track and field team finished fourth in the nine-team Dan Benson Invitational on April 29 at Tosa West.
Sun Prairie scored 341 to win the event, followed by Homestead (274), Wauwatosa West (235.25) and Wauwatosa East (146).
Toni Bonds had a big day for the Red Raiders, scoring in three events. She was second in the 200-meter dash (personal best, 27.69 seconds), third in the 400 (PR, 1 minute, 1.83 seconds) and eighth in the long jump (14 feet, 4 inches).
Abby Wood was second in the 200 (PR, 27.96), and Alice Farr tied for third in the pole vault (tied PR, 8-0).
The 4x200 relay in 1:55.91 (Olivia Metz, Addison Devine, Katie Gastrau, Melina Paul) and the 4x800 relay in 10:35.36 (Malia Bavuso, Amara Green, Janet Fee, Elsa Klein) both finished third.
The 4x400 relay took fourth in 4:31.44 (Andrea Mabie, Fee, Green, Gastrau).
Mabie placed in two events, taking fourth in the 1,600 (PR, 5:29.81) and sixth in the 800 (2:33.57).
Zoe Schertz also scored in two events, taking fourth in the 100 hurdles (PR, 17.16) and fifth in the 300 hurdles (51.49).
The 4x100 relay placed fifth in 55.16 (Metz, Trinity Mayes, Neshae Morries-Thurman, Addison Devine).
Klein was sixth in the 3,200 (PR, 12:54.25), Fee took seventh in the 800 (2:36.66) and Wood finished seventh in the long jump (14-41/4).
Bavuso in the 3,200 (PR,13:06.41) and Molly Devine in the pole vault (7-6) rounded out the scoring with eighth-place finishes.
