2016 Run Tosa Run event slated for May 14 in East Towne neighborhood

The annual Run Tosa Run 5K run/walk and half-mile kid's run through the streets of the East Towne Neighborhood is scheduled for May 14.
The kids' run kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 9 a.m. The course starts at 69th Street and North Avenue and weaves through the neighborhood between 74th and 62nd streets, according to the neighborhood association's website, tosaeasttowne.org.
The event aims to bring residents together and promote the neighborhood while also raising money for charity. After the 2015 race, the Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association donated $3,000 in proceeds to RMHC Eastern Wisconsin.
Net 2016 proceeds also benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.
For more information on the event, visit tosaeasttowne.org. Registration will continue at $30 until May 12. Race day registration is also accepted for $35 with credit cards.
