Wauwatosa West boys take fourth at Woodland Relays
Trojans also finish 10th at Arrowhead's Myrhum Invite
Wauwatosa West placed fourth out of 10 teams at the Woodland Conference Relays on May 3 at Brown Deer.
New Berlin Eisenhower took first (104.99), followed by Pewaukee (101.98), South Milwaukee (78.98) and Wauwatosa West (66).
Finishing first were the pole vault relay of Jovani Jefferson (13-feet), Nick Hagopian (11-0) and Tray'Vion Davis (9-0) and the shot put relay of Jaravee Jackson (53-5), Austin Ertl (41-21/4) and Norberto Pliego (39-41/4).
Taking second was the triple jump relay behind Ean Haller (41-3), Michael Green (39-6) and Justin Burks (37-81/4).
The 300 hurdles relay behind Kyleon Parker (45.10 seconds), Christian Jackson (47.77) and Haller (47.78); the 4x100 relay behind Michael Green, Henry Tyson, Aaron Johnson-Moorer and Malik Bascom; and the discus throw relay behind Jaravee Jackson (115-10), Ertl (99-81/2) and Haisam Rihawi (84-7) all finished third.
Finishing fifth were the sprint medley relay behind Bascom, Green, Johnson-Moorer and Tyson; the 4,000 distance medley behind Ngaru Nen, Jeremiah Cash, Joshua Cash and Logan Steinike; and the long jump relay behind Paris Hannah-Howell (19-33/4), Tyson (17-61/4) and Jake Schnell (16-101/4).
The 4x800 relay finished sixth in 8 minutes, 52.02 seconds behind Steinike, Jackson, Ngaru Nen, Jeremiah Cash, and the 4x1600 relay behind Michael Dettlaff, Jeremiah Cash, Joshua Cash and Nen took seventh (21:14.42).
Myrhum Invite
The Trojans finished 10th out of 20 teams at the Myrhum Invite on May 7 at Hartland Arrowhead. West scored 22 points, while Oak Creek won the event with 119 points.
Javaree Jackson won the shot put with a personal-record toss of 54 feet, 11 inches. That is 15 inches better than his previous best. Hannah-Howell tied for second in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet. Jefferson finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 13 feet in the vault once again.
