The Tosa Community Food Pantry will likely get a bump in proceeds this spring thanks to a campaign launched by Meijer.

The Midwest retailer kicked off the spring campaign of its signature hunger relief program, Simply Give, May 13. The program strives to help food pantry partners in southeastern Wisconsin restock their shelves, according to a news release from the company.

Throughout the campaign, which runs through June 19, customers are encouraged to buy a $10 Simply Give donation card upon checkout. The donation will be converted into a Meijer food-only gift card and given to the Tosa Community Food Pantry. The cards can be found on fixtures near the checkout points as well as the grocery and pharmacy departments.

"Meijer is committed to supporting food pantries in the communities we serve to help offer healthy options to families in need," said CEO Hank Meijer in a statement. "We thank our customers for their continuous generosity and we look forward to another successful Simply Give campaign."

The program runs three times a year to help fulfill the needs of the retailer's food pantry partners: in spring, fall and during the holiday season.

The Simply Give donation cards can be purchased at the following Meijer locations in southeastern Wisconsin:

· 11111 W. Burleigh St., Wauwatosa, to benefit Tosa Community Food Pantry

· 1600 N. Port Washington Road, Grafton, to benefit Family Sharing of Ozaukee County

· 171 W. Town Square Way, Oak Creek, to benefit Family Life Center Food Pantry — St. Stephen's

· 7701 Green Bay Road, Kenosha, to benefit Interfaith Shalom Center Food Pantry

Meijer will double match customers' donations on June 3 and 4. That means for every $10 donation card purchase, Meijer will contribute $20, resulting in a total $30 donation.

More than $21 million has been donated throughout the Midwest since the Simply Give campaign began in 2008.
