East's Prange to play in All-Star Soccer Game

Ben Prange, a four-year letter-winner and a two-year captain in the boys soccer program, has been selected to play on the Blue Team in the Wisconsin Masonic All-Star Soccer Game on July 30 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Prange, a St. Norbert's recruit, scored more than 45 career goals and collected more than 25 assists, all as a member of the varsity team. He is a two-time first-team All Conference selection for the Greater Metro Conference and was an honorable mention All Conference selection as a sophomore.

He also was a second-team All State selection for his senior year and was an honorable mention All State selection as a junior.

He earned several other honors over his four years. He was 2015 GMC Scholar Athlete, 2015 NHS Student Athlete Award Recipient and was named Co-MVP at Bob Spielmann Soccer Camp.

Jr. Raiders look to fill football openings

The Wauwatosa East Jr. Raider football program still needs players for this fall's fifth- and sixth-grade football teams. Fourth-grade boys are welcome to play at the fifth-grade level as well.

County Parks offer

free golf for youths

Milwaukee County Parks is offering free golf green fees through two new programs this summer for youth 17 and younger.

On the second Monday of the summer months, beginning June 13, youths accompanied by a paid adult receive free green fees at courses at Hansen, 9800 W. Underwood Creek Parkway, Wauwatosa, and Warnimont, 5400 S. Lake Drive, Cudahy.

The program is repeated July 11 and Aug. 8.

Tee times can be made up to two weeks in advance by calling (414) 475-6222 or visiting milwaukeecountygolfcourses.com.

On the third Tuesday of summer months, beginning June 21, youths play par-three courses for free. The courses are Doyne, 5300 W. Wells St.; Lake, 3233 E. Kenwood Blvd.; Madison, 9800 W. Glendale Ave.; Noyes, 8235 W. Good Hope Rd.; and Zablocki, 3717 W. Howard Ave. The program is repeated July 19 and Aug. 16. Play is on a first-come, first-served basis.
