The Wauwatosa West softball team had a tough season, it but still has awards and honors to be proud of.
Three girls earned Woodland Conference honorable-mention honors.
Junior infielder Melissa Biefeld batted .359 overall and had 29 runs scored and a .462 on base percentage. In conference play, she batted .318 with a .474 OBP.
Sophomore infielder Margaret Radske batted .441 overall, with a .486 OBP. She hit .386 and a .426 OBP in conference play.
Senior Nicole Mystrow, who plays several positions, batted .444 overall, with a homer, 22 RBIs and 32 hits, In conference play, she batted .372 with a .509 OBP.
Team awards went to Mystrow for the offensive MVP and to Biefeld for the defensive MVP.
Sophomore Hannah Bree earned the Most Improved honors.
