The Wauwatosa West boys track and field team awarded two MVPs, one for track and one for field, and the winners shouldn't surprise anyone.
Christian Jackson was the track MVP, and Javaree Jackson was the field MVP.
"Both had tremendous seasons with both qualifying for the state meet," West coach Scott Jordan said.
The Most Improved Award went to Paris Hannah-Howell.
"He also had a wonderful season by competing in more events this season and showing great improvement in the ones he continued to do from last year," Jordan said.
The Freshman of the Year award went to Kyleon Parker, who competed in many varsity meets and qualified for sectionals.
Jordan will lose nine seniors to graduation: Malik Bascom, Jovani Jefferson, Christian Jackson, Nick Hagopian, Max Coulliard, Tray'vion Davis, Norberto Pliego, Evan Gerndt and Charlie Barthel.
"Our season went well," Jordan said. "We had some underclassmen that made an impact from the start. Even though we are losing some quality seniors, we have some youngsters that are ready and willing to step up. It will be an exciting season next year."
