Jr. Raiders look to fill football openings

The Wauwatosa East Jr. Raider football program still needs players for this fall's fifth- and sixth-grade football teams. Fourth-grade boys are welcome to play at the fifth-grade level as well.

To be eligible, players must either live in or attend school in the Wauwatosa East High School attendance area. For more information, call John Dobbe, (414) 507-6226.

Jones helps Whitewater baseball team succeed

Austin Jones, a graduate of Wauwatosa West High School, is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team, which won the Central Region championship and competed in its sixth NCAA Championship since 2004 and placed seventh overall.

Jones earned All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorable mention honors for his pitching this season.

Don August/Jim Gantner baseball camps in July

Former Milwaukee Brewers Jim Gantner and Don August will hold their annual baseball camp from July 11-14, 9 a.m. — 1:30 p.m. at the Menomonee Falls Little League Complex.

Jim Gosz schedules basketball camps

The Jim Gosz Boys and Girls Co-ed Basketball Camps are set for the summer.

The Extreme Camp is set for 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 27-30 at St. Paul's Muskego.

The basketball camp is in Muskego and at St. Joseph's Wauwatosa, 122nd and Center. The camps run from9 to 11:30 a.m. July 5-8 at St. Joseph's Wauwatosa; July 11-14 at St. Paul's Muskego and July 18-21 at St. Paul's Muskego.

The Jim Gosz Basketball Academy is set for 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July18-21 at St. Paul's Muskego.

Jim Gosz High Rise Volleyball camps return

The Jim Gosz High Rise volleyball camps return from noon to 2:30 p.m. July 5-8 at St. Joseph's in Wauwatosa.

A second camp runs from noon to 2:30 p.m. July 11-14 at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Muskego.

The fee is $100 if application is received prior to July 1; $120 thereafter.

County Parks offer

free golf for youth

Milwaukee County Parks is offering free golf green fees through two new programs this summer for youth 17 and younger.
