Wauwatosa's 22nd Secret Garden Tour scheduled for July 9

Area residents will have the opportunity to explore private and historic gardens during Wauwatosa's 22nd annual Secret Garden Tour, scheduled for July 9.

Hosted by the Wauwatosa Beautification Committee, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day, locals can tour six private gardens and those at the Kneeland-Walker House, 7406 Hillcrest Drive, which is the starting point of the tour.

Participants can meet and speak with Melinda Myers, sponsored by the American Transmission Company, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Myers will have native plants and "grow smart" materials available. A master gardener presentation about lifelong gardening is also planned.

Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Alfa Flower Shop, The Flower Lady, Fruit of the Bloom, Rose's Flower Shop, Stein's Garden and Home (Wauwatosa location only) and Wisconsin Garden and Pet. Tickets are $12 on tour day and will be available at the Kneeland-Walker House. The tour will happen rain or shine.
