A swim-a-thon was held by the Wauwatosa Swordfish on June 27 at Hoyt Pool.
Over 60 swimmers participated by swimming lengths of the pool for either one or two hours.
The Swordfish had 13 swimmers complete 100 or more lengths of the pool in one hour and 20 swimmers complete 200 or more lenghts in two hours.
Zoe Kunz and Andrew Miler swam 120 or more lengths, or nearly 2 miles, in one hour.
Caleb Vollmers, Bridget Thuli, Emma Karras and Bri Stevens swam 300 or more lengths, which is the equivalent of nearly 5 miles.
Coaches Corey Mukai, Maggie Pease and Greg Pease all swam a mile or more in less than an hour.
A new feature this year had two board members and three parents combine to swim 6 miles in their allotted hour.
The team hopes to raise $6,000 from the swim-a-thon. Those wishing to donate can do so at tosaswordfish.org. The online giving platform will stay open until July 22.
