Alleged drunken driver wants to talk politics, Tosa police say

Nov. 20, 2012 10:41 a.m. | A 26-year-old Milwaukee man accused of drunken driving in the early morning hours after Election Day wanted to talk politics during his arrest, Wauwatosa police said.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

The man was stopped by police in the 7400 block of West State Street at 12:58 a.m. Nov. 7 after his vehicle crossed the centerline multiple times. As he pulled over, he hit the curb, according to the police report.

The man immediately began mumbling about President Barack Obama when officers approached him. They told him they believed he had been drinking, and he replied, "You're the man, and if you say I did it, then I did," the report states.

He was driving with a suspended license, and when officers confronted him about it, he began talking about politics again.

Man attacked after four-car crash, Tosa police say

Nov. 19, 2012 12:14 p.m. | A man received a few blows to the head after he rear-ended an SUV at North and Wauwatosa avenues at 5 p.m. Nov. 8.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

The 22-year-old SUV driver, a Milwaukee man, head-butted the other driver and punched him multiple times after the crash. When others who were involved in the crash tried to stop him, he threatened them with violence.

The victim, a 23-year-old Pewaukee man, barely had time to recover from the four-car accident after his air bags went off. He had rear-ended the Milwaukee man, whose car ran into a another, which was pushed into another.

Witnesses say they saw the Pewaukee man "playing" on his cellphone just before the accident.

Suspected shoplifter argues her way into arrest at Mayfair, Tosa police say

Nov. 19, 2012 10:08 a.m. | A teen's belligerence led to her arrest for disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and carrying a concealed weapon at Mayfair - even though the store employees who suspected her of stealing had been ready to let her go.

According to the Wauwatosa police report:

Employees of Pac Sun in Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, caught the 16-year-old girl taking a pair of jeans from the store at 7:18 p.m. Nov. 10. The store didn't want to have her arrested, but they did want their property back. Wanting her to return her items and leave, they called mall security.

When the security guard asked her if she had taken anything else, the girl became belligerent and police were called. She told officers the guard had "been rude to her."

The officers found a stolen belt, panties and jewelry in the girl's purse, as well as a set of spiked brass knuckles.
