Jazz music to fill Wauwatosa Avenue church

Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church, 1529 Wauwatosa Ave., will infuse its worship service with jazz music at 9:45 a.m. March 6.

Favorite hymns will be performed by the Agape vocalists and a 17-piece jazz ensemble.

Cooking demo to stir up some appetizing ideas

Cooks from Venturi's Market and Catering will demonstrate how to prepare appetizers at 1 p.m. March 7 at Hart Park Senior Center, 7300 Chestnut St.

Play sends fairytale characters go to court

The Children's Theatre of Wauwatosa will present "Big Bad," performed by the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa, at 2 p.m. March 12 at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St.

Countless quirky fairytale characters will cause the Big Bad Wolf to be put on trial through a class-action lawsuit. Only the jury - the audience - will decide the Wolf's fate.

East and West series tickets will be honored. Tickets cost $4 each at the box office, which opens at 1:30 p.m.

Team up with ATI, Bucks to fight hunger

ATI Physical Therapy and the Milwaukee Bucks have teamed up with Hunger Task Force to collect food donations. The tip-off event - from 3 to 4:30 p.m. March 5 at ATI Wauwatosa, 6810 W. State St. - begins a monthlong food drive.

Bucks mascot Bango and the Energee Dance Team will make appearances. Guests should bring nonperishable food items for donation. Bucks guard Earl Boykins will sign autographs for those who donate.
