Jenni Spies and Brian Karas of Milwaukee are planning an Aug. 1 wedding in Milwaukee.
Parents of the future bride are Karen and Gary Spies of Williamsport, Penn., and the future groom's parents are Jill and Greg Karas of St. Francis.
The future bride earned her bachelor's degree in sports management at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y., in 2002 and earned a law degree at the University of Marquette. She works as an assistant district attorney for Milwaukee County.
The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He works as an educational assistant, head baseball coach and assistant girls basketball coach at Wauwatosa East High School in Wauwatosa.
