Parents of the engaged couple are Joseph and Carmen Berte, Milwaukee, formerly of Wauwatosa, and Jill Blake, Grimsby.
The bride-to-be earned her bachelor's degree in communication from Cardinal Stritch University. She is an admissions counselor for Cardinal Stritch.
The future groom earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University. He is a client services representative for Cary Francis Group.
The couple became engaged on the bride-to-be's birthday, May 16, 2008.
