Ronda L. Hamm and Ryan C. Jeske were married on Oct. 10, 2009, in a vineyard outside Fresno, Calif.

Parents of the bride are Robert and Rachel Hamm of Fresno. Parents of the groom are Chris and Robin Jeske of Wauwatosa.

The Rev. Gary Manning of Trinity Episcopal Church in Wauwatosa officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the vineyard. A reception for Wisconsin friends and relatives was held at the Wauwatosa Woman's Club on Nov. 28, 2009.

The bride wore a white gown with lace overlay and a halter neckline. She carried a bouquet of blue delphinium and white calla lilies.

Maid of honor was Milena Fast of Fresno, friend of the bride.

Best man was Jeff Schneider of Seattle, friend of the groom.

The bride, who earned her doctorate in entomology from Cornell University in Ithaca N.Y., is a senior biologist at Dow Agroscience in Indianapolis.

The groom, who earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his doctorate in organic chemistry from Cornell University, is an assistant professor in chemistry at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.

The couple met as teammates on the chemistry grad student soccer team at Cornell. The groom won the bride's affections with famous muffins.

They honeymooned in the Mayan Riviera for one week.

They reside in Zionsville, Ind.
