Kogler, 50 years

James and Mary Kogler, residents of Wauwatosa for 45 years, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party in Sheboygan, where they were wed.

They married May 12, 1962.

Children of the couple are Kurt (and Wendy) Kogler of Longview, Texas, Kevin (and Veronica) Kogler of Atherton, Calif., and Kara Kogler of Brussels, Belgium. Grandchildren are Sarah, 20, Kyle, 17, and Kaleigh, 9; Alexandra, 11, Gabriela, 9, and James, 3; and Hugo, 9, and Katarina, 6.

James retired from a career in sales with Sells Printing; he works at Robertson Ace Hardware in the Village. He has been active in the Wauwatosa Curling Club and the Wauwatosa Community Band, and he served on the city Zoning and Appeals Board and the Wauwatosa Village Task Force; he was the Tosafest brewmaster for many years.

Mary retired from a career in the education department of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. She has been active in the Wauwatosa Junior Women's Club, the Wauwatosa Community Band, the Wauwatosa Library Board/Friends of the Wauwatosa Library, the Wauwatosa Historical Society, the Hart Park Senior Center, the Wauwatosa Village Task Force and the Wauwatosa Food Pantry.

They are also members of St. Bernard Parish.
