Caitlin O'Meara and Jake Marquardt of Cambridge, Mass., are planning a Sept. 8, 2012, wedding at the Elm Grove Woman's Club in Elm Grove.
Parents of the couple are John and Denise O'Meara of Wauwatosa and Patricia and James Marquardt of Lake Geneva.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School, a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and a 2010 graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin with a doctorate in physiology. She is a research fellow in cell biology at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard University Medical School in Cambridge.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Badger High School in Lake Geneva and a 2006 graduate of UW-Eau Claire. He is the national retail sales manager with Klement's Sausage Co. in Milwaukee.
The future groom proposed Aug. 20, 2011, on a rock ledge overlooking Devil's Lake in Baraboo.
