Lauren Roznowski Hayden and Mike Hayden of Wauwatosa were married Dec. 17, 2011, at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Parents of the bride are Jeffrey and Diane Roznowski of Wauwatosa. The groom's parents are Allen and Connie Hayden of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Rev. Rachel Young-Binter and the Rev. Richard Johnson officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center in Milwaukee.
The bride wore an ivory, strapless, lace gown with a sweetheart neckline.
Erin Soderberg of Baltimore, Mass., friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Attendants were Emily Roznowski of Wauwatosa, sister of the bride, and Matthew Roznowski of Minneapolis, brother of the bride.
Tom Hayden of Houston, Texas, brother of the groom, was best man. Attendants were Colin Fellows of Colorado Springs, friend of the groom, and Erin Hayden of Los Angeles, sister of the groom.
The bride earned her bachelor's degree in music from Lawrence University in Appleton and her master's degree in music from Northwestern University in Illinois.
The groom earned his bachelor's degree in music from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his master's degree in music from Northwestern University.
They are both music teachers in southeastern Wisconsin.
The couple planned a one-week honeymoon in Maya Beach, Belize.
The two met as graduate students at Northwestern University, when he lived in Arizona and she in Wisconsin. They dated long-distance for one year, flying back and forth to visit every few weeks. The groom moved to Wisconsin and proposed in May 2011.
