Unteutsch-Langer

Aug. 1, 2012

Aimee Unteutsch and James Langer of Greenfield were married June 16, 2012, at a private home on Lake Michigan in Racine.

Parents of the bride are Steve and Martha Unteutsch of Wauwatosa. The groom's parents are Tammy (Derouin) Langer and Jim and Linda Langer, all of Oak Creek.

The Rev. Daron Lindemann of Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the home.

The bride carried a bouquet of pink peonies in different shades and wore a Vera Wang dress.

Rachel Unteutsch of Wauwatosa, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.

Christopher Rodriquez of South Milwaukee, friend of the groom, was best man.

Emmett Whitinger of South Milwaukee, nephew of the couple, was ring bearer.

The bride, a 2003 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School, earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a knowledge operations manager with the 128th Air Refueling Wing of the U.S. Air Force in Milwaukee.

The groom, a 2000 graduate of Oak Creek High School, earned certificates in fire protection and machine pump operation from Milwaukee County and Waukesha County technical colleges. He is a troubleshooting lineman for AT&T and a volunteer firefighter for Big Bend.

Aimee met James when she moved into her apartment and couldn't get her Internet to work. AT&T had to send someone out. James showed up at her door, and that's when it all began. He proposed to her at the Port Washington lighthouse in June 2011.
