Two women arrested in drug sting

Oct. 12, 2010

Two women were arrested for possession and selling drugs after they bought prescription pills during a police sting last month.

According to Wauwatosa police:

The women showed up to a drug store in Wauwatosa. A 46-year-old Hartford woman went inside to use the restroom, while a 58-year-old Hartford woman stayed in the car and exchanged $2,100 for 60 pills of OxyContin with a police informant.

After the two women drove off, the older woman then sold the drugs to her passenger for a profit. They were pulled over near 76th and Center streets.

The younger woman said she was purchasing the drugs to sell to a friend.

The district attorney is expected to issue charges against both women this week.

The older woman was arrested in 2007 for a similar drug deal and she said she's been selling prescription pills ever since.
