Historical society to reopen research library Jan. 15

Jan. 5, 2011

Wauwatosa Historical Society will reopen its research library Jan. 15 in the Kneeland-Walker House, 7406 Hillcrest Drive.

The collection had been moved so that the roof could be replaced on the historic home that serves as the organization's headquarters. Research materials are back on the second floor and ready for use by the public.

The Judith A. Simonsen Research Library will be open from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Saturday of each month. Research assistance is available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays by appointment.

Use of the library is free for society members and a $5 donation is requested for nonmembers. E-mail and phone assistance is free for the first 15 minutes, with a $20 hourly fee kicking in for longer sessions.

For information, call (414) 774-6826 or e-mail staff@wauwatosahistoricalsociety.org.
