BURGLARY

1Electronics and other items valued at $1,058 were taken from a man's vehicle in the 8800 block of Stickney Avenue at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 4. The vehicle and garage were unlocked.

2A bicycle valued at $900 was taken from a garage in the 7700 block of Rogers Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 4 p.m. Sept. 6. The owner said that he often keeps the garage door open.

3A window shade and fire extinguisher were taken from an apartment's hallway in the 7700 block of Menomonee River Parkway at 11:32 p.m. Sept. 4. The suspect had a strong smell of intoxicants on him and ran away as soon as he was spotted. Loss is estimated at $105.

4Two televisions and other electronic items totaling at $2,600 were taken from a house in the 4600 block of North 118 Street between 2:30 p.m. Sept. 9 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 10.

THEFT

5A flat-screen television, value unknown, was taken from a resident at Lutheran Home for the Aging, 7500 W. North Ave., between 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. Sept. 2.

6A man called police after he noticed his SUV's window smashed in the 2600 block of North 70th Street between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 7:45 a.m. Sept. 5. Upon further inspection, nothing of value was stolen. The damage is estimated at $350.

7A blue 2002 Pontiac Sunfire was taken from a parking lot in the 12000 block of West Bluemound Road between 11 p.m. Sept. 4 and 5:09 a.m. Sept. 5. The vehicle was left unlocked and the key was left under the driver seat.

8A 12-foot trailer was taken from the Bartolotta Restaurant parking lot, 6005 Martin Drive, between 11 p.m. Sept. 4 and 9 a.m. Sept. 5. The trailer belonged to Bartolotta's and did not have a lock on it. The trailer and its contents are valued at $1,200.

9Four propane tanks were taken from Lurie Glass, 12000 W. Wirth St., between 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and 5 a.m. Sept. 6. The lock was found missing on the shed in the back where the tanks were stored. Loss is estimated at $600.

10A camera and other items were taken from a car in the 7700 block of West Clarke Street between 6 p.m. Sept. 5 and 7:45 p.m. Sept. 6. The loss is estimated at $450.

11Two MP3 players and change were taken from unlocked cars in a driveway in the 600 block of North 60th Street between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 6. Loss is estimated at $133.

12A woman's wallet, valued at $10, was taken from Wauwatosa Catholic School, 1500 Wauwatosa Ave., between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6. The wallet had two debit cards in it that were used to make fraudulent transactions totaling at $324.

13Seven pairs of shoes valued at $744 were taken from Buckle, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:32 p.m. Sept. 6. The store workers saw a man take the items, but due to store policy, were unable to stop him as he left the store.

14A woman's window was smashed in and her purse and contents stolen from the Anytime Fitness parking lot, 8901 W. North Ave., between 10:30 and 11:05 p.m. Sept. 10. Loss is estimated at $115.

Police responded to 12 thefts of items valued at $100 or less in the past week.

DRUG POSSESSION

15An 18-year-old Elm Grove man was arrested for underage drinking and marijuana and paraphernalia possession in the 2400 block of North 85th Street at 3:47 a.m. Sept. 3. He claimed he was leaving a house party and his BAC was 0.246.

16An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possessing 0.6 grams of marijuana in the 4700 block of North 104th Street at 11:58 a.m. Sept. 8. The man was suspected to be a different person who was involved in burglaries and wanted by the police.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

17A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, at Wauwatosa and Garfield avenues at 9 p.m. Sept. 5. The woman's BAC was 0.234.

18A 30-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving in the 100 block of Watertown Plank Road at 11:43 p.m. Sept. 8. His BAC was 0.12 The man stated that he had three beers in the span of one hour.

ACCIDENTS

19A 42-year-old woman rear-ended a 67-year-old man when she tried to change lanes on Bluemound and Mayfair at 4:37 p.m. Sept. 7. The passenger of the second vehicle, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to Froedtert Hospital for neck pains.

20A 64-year-old man's vehicle smashed into a 20-year-old woman's vehicle while he was taking a left at a yellow light at North Avenue and 60th Street at 8:15 a.m. Sept. 11. The woman was taken to Froedtert for neck and knee pains.

VANDALISM

21A woman's car was scratched and dented in the 7700 block of Menomonee River Parkway between 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and 4:30 p.m. Sept. 6. The woman believes the vandalism was done by a man who was stalking her.

22A car mirror was smashed in the parking lot of the Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 5:23 p.m. Sept. 7.

23A woman's car window was cracked in several places in the 9900 block of West Wisconsin Avenue between 12:40 and 1:50 p.m. Sept. 8. She does not believe anyone did it to attack her personally and that it could have been caused by a passing vehicle.

OTHER

24Three counterfeit $100 bills were found at Walmart, 3850 N. 124th St., by the accounting associate between July 30 and Aug. 30. Walmart loss prevention did not know the procedure for reporting counterfeit bills, which is why the report was not filed earlier. Two of the bills had the same serial number and the watermark did not match.

25A woman reported being struck in the face by a bottle thrown from a moving car in the 1000 block of North 115th Street at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 5. The woman was walking to work at the time. She suffered a bruise to her cheek and cuts on the inside of her mouth.

26A customer used a counterfeit $20 bill at Discovery Clothing, 2857 N. Mayfair Road at 3:04 p.m. Sept. 7. The customer was cooperative and did not know it was a fake. The bill appeared to be a photocopy on linen paper.

Wauwatosa police responded to one domestic disturbance incident in the past week.
