Police report: Oct. 24

ROBBERY

1A 31-year-old man was taken to Froedtert Hospital after he was attacked and robbed at a residence in the 2500 block of North 124th Street between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Oct. 19. The suspects were invited over after the victim and his friend had been drinking at a bar and attacked them after being asked to leave. The suspects took the wallet of the victim after beating them up. The victim's story changed a number of times, but they claimed a wallet with a credit card and possibly $120 in cash was taken.

BURGLARY

2A house in the 2900 block of North 121st Street was broken into between 9 a.m. Oct. 10 and 6:40 p.m. Oct. 17. The victim's sister discovered the break-in and couldn't tell if any items were missing. A rear window was shattered for access. Police are investigating fingerprints but have no suspects.

3Three business checks were taken from Carpet Plus, 11905 W. Dearbourn Ave., between 3:30 a.m. Oct. 12 and 11 a.m. Oct 16. One of the checks was cashed, resulting in a $900 loss.

THEFT

4A pair of sunglasses valued at $125 was taken from Solstice at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:34 p.m. Oct. 15. Police have identified a possible suspect and are reviewing video surveillance.

5A pistol, credit cards and other items were taken from a vehicle in the 12000 block of North Avenue between 7:55 and 9:25 a.m. Oct. 16. The vehicle's window was smashed for access. The total value of items taken is estimated at $16,843.

6A purse and its contents, including credit cards, were taken from a car at YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., between 8:15 and 11 a.m. Oct. 16. The suspects attempted to use credit cards, but they were declined.

7A cellphone valued at $600 was taken from a table at Maggiano's, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

8A wallet and its contents, including credit cards, were stolen at Froedtert Hospital, 1700 N. 116th St., between 2:59 p.m. Oct. 17 and 3:27 p.m. Oct. 18. The credit cards were successfully used three times at three locations in Wauwatosa, with a loss estimated at $136.

A man called police after what he believes is a phone scam that took place between 10:30 a.m. Oct. 18 and 1:26 p.m. Oct. 19. The man recently paid off a loan and was called by a man identifying himself as "Justin" from Anderson and Thompson Legal Associates. After the victim gave the suspect $200, he researched the company and found out that there was no such firm. The man blocked the number, but received 24 calls after telling the suspect that he was going to call police.

9A purse and its contents were taken from a vehicle in the parking lot at YMCA, 2420 N. 124th St., between 8:50 and 9:50 p.m. Oct. 18. The total loss is $425.

10Purses and other accessories, a total value of $292, were taken from Salamander, 7532 W. State St., between 2 and 2:05 p.m. Oct. 19.

11A cellphone and briefcase were taken from a vehicle parked in the 2200 block of North Mayfair Road between 11:45 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. Oct. 20. Damage is estimated at $1,350.

12A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking a jacket, valued at $350, from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:24 p.m. Oct. 20.

13A wallet and its contents, including identification and credit cards, were taken from Restoration Hardware at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20. The credit cards were used for $250 in fraudulent charges and the wallet and its contents were valued at $60.

Police responded to five thefts of items valued at $100 or less in the past week.

DRUG POSSESSION

14An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drug possession at the intersection of North 68th Street and River Parkway at 9:48 p.m. Oct. 19. The man tried tossing the 1.7 grams of marijuana in a bush, but it was found by officers.

15A 17-year-old Wauwatosa boy and an 18-year-old Wauwatosa man were arrested for drug possession at the 10800 block of West Center Street at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 20. The suspects had two marijuana pipes and 16 grams of marijuana on them.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

16A 31-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, at the intersection of North 68th Street and West State Street at 2:18 a.m. Oct. 20. His vehicle was seen crossing the center of the road. He also had no current vehicle registration. His blood alcohol content was 0.15.

17A 28-year-old West Bend man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 8700 block of Watertown Plank Road at 3:34 a.m. Oct. 20. His vehicle was seen driving through a flashing red light before he was pulled over. Blood draw results were not immediately available.

ACCIDENTS

18A 12-year-old girl and a 64-year-old man were taken to Froedtert Hospital after their vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle at the intersection of Menomonee River Parkway and West North Avenue at 11:19 p.m. Oct. 17. The driver of the car who rear-ended the two said that they were moving so slow that she didn't register that there was an accident and that it was raining heavily, obscuring her vision.

19A 23-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital with back pain after a vehicle hit her as she was making a left turn at the intersection of North 107th Street and West Bluemound Road at 4:36 p.m. Oct. 18. The woman was attempting to make a turn in a zone marked for no-left turn between 3 and 6 p.m. She was cited with failure to yield.

OTHER

A Wauwatosa resident turned in several World War II-era .50-caliber rounds of ammunition and .22-caliber rounds that they found in their home while cleaning at 5:04 p.m. Oct. 15. The ammunition belonged to a previous resident.

20A man was found with a camera pointed toward the busy playground at Christ King Elementary, 2646 N. Swan Blvd., between 12:30 and 12:47 p.m. Oct. 17. When a parent confronted the man, he drove off.

21A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at Super 8 Motel, 115 N. Mayfair Road, at 11:53 p.m. Oct. 18. She had been involved in a confrontation with her boyfriend, who had been staying in the motel. The man said he was pushed through a glass door. The suspect denies pushing him, but witnesses corroborated the man's claim.

22Two Milwaukee women, ages 21 and 19, were arrested for prescription fraud at Walgreens, 10800 W. Capitol Drive, at 10:09 p.m. Oct. 20.

Police responded to two domestic disturbance calls in the last week.
